Plan of Attack have been Unity Technologies’ European agency of record since 2013. Unity’s annual developer conference, Unite, is one of our favourite events of the year, as it brings together a lovely mix of hobbyist, indie developer and AAA studios who all share one thing in common: Unity.
Unite Europe 2015 took place in June 2015 in Amsterdam at the awesome Westergasfabriek venue, with two days of sessions from developers as well as talks from internal Unity Engineers. Unity CEO John Riccitiello opened the conference with a talk on how Unity is driving developer success, followed by a Guest Keynote by Mariina Hallikainen, CEO of Colossal Order, the studio behind city building simulation game Cities: Skylines.
For Unite Europe 2014, the Plan of Attack team arranged for 30+ media from throughout Europe (United Kingdom, France, Germany, Scandinavia and the Netherlands), to attend the conference. The media mix included games business and trade outlets: Develop, Gamesindustry.biz, Pocket Gamer, Making Games and Eye for Gaming, technology driven outlets Techradar and Computerworld, national newspaper The Guardian to popular consumer facing video games media including Kotaku and PC Games N. As well as setting up Unity interviews, the Plan of Attack team also connected media who were attending with developers to insure that the media had fantastic stories to write from a range of developers. The Plan of Attack team even took to the stage themselves with a business session titled ‘25 no bullshit tips for a successful global communications campaign’
